June Hancock Mesothelioma Research Fund Receives a Festive Gift from MacroFin
This year we’ve decided to include nominations from 3RP team members, to help raise funds and awareness for a cause close to their heart.
MacroFin’s Account Manager, Sam Powell nominated June Hancock Mesothelioma Research Fund as 3RP’s Christmas charity, in support of a devastating cancer, Mesothelioma, caused by asbestos exposure which often leads to a terminal diagnosis.
Hearing that a loved one, in this case, a sprightly and super-fit grandfather had been given such news was a shock to Sam’s family. But true to his thoughtful and forward-thinking nature, he immediately wanted to know how he could help future generations facing Mesothelioma.
That’s when Sam and his family discovered the June Hancock Mesothelioma Research Fund, the UK’s first and largest dedicated research fund for this disease. They invest every pound into understanding and fighting Mesothelioma, supporting patients and families, and raising awareness for a cancer that remains relatively unknown in the UK. Awareness is critical, especially when predictions show there could be around 16,300 new cases, each year, by 2038.
